The best organic supplement brands in India are the ones that show their lab reports, use real plant or mushroom extracts and tell you exactly what’s in each capsule. A green leaf on the pack proves nothing on its own, so look for a certificate and a lab report.
We’re Rooted Actives, a mushroom and plant-based supplement brand from Gurugram. So yes, our own brand is on this list. We’ve kept the comparison fair and based it on things you can check yourself: certificates, labels and test reports.
What makes an organic supplement brand the best?
A good brand gives you 3 things: clean ingredients, the right dose and proof. If a brand can’t show you a certificate or a lab report when you ask, keep looking.
Use these 6 checks before you buy from any brand:
- Organic certificate. In India, look for the India Organic logo (NPOP) or the Jaivik Bharat logo from FSSAI. USDA Organic is common on imported ingredients.
- Third-party lab testing. An outside lab should test each batch for heavy metals, microbes and pesticide residue.
- Clear extract details. For mushrooms, the label should say fruiting body or mycelium. It should also give the extract ratio or the beta-glucan content.
- Full dose per ingredient. Skip blends that hide how much of each herb you get.
- FSSAI license number. Every supplement sold in India must print it on the pack.
- Honest claims. A brand that says its product cures a disease is breaking advertising rules. Good brands say “supports” and “may help”.

Rooted Actives: best for functional mushrooms and lab-tested herbs
Rooted Actives is the best pick if you want mushroom supplements and Ayurvedic herbs from one brand, with lab reports you can read before you buy. We make over 40 products from more than 20 mushroom and plant ingredients.
Our mushroom range uses fruiting body extracts, the part of the mushroom used in most human studies. Every batch is tested by a third-party lab and you can see the lab reports on our website.
You’ll find our full range of functional mushroom supplements, from lion’s mane supplements for focus to cordyceps supplements for energy. For stamina, our shilajit supplements come as resin and as honey sticks.
Best for: focus, energy, stamina and immunity support from mushrooms and Ayurvedic herbs.
Keep in mind: our range is built around mushrooms and herbs. If you mainly want herbal teas, a tea-first brand will suit you better.
Organic India: best for organic herbal teas
Organic India is one of the oldest names in Indian organic herbs. It’s best known for tulsi teas and single-herb capsules like ashwagandha and moringa.
Best for: daily herbal teas and simple single-herb products.
Keep in mind: the range has very few mushroom products. Check the label for the extract strength, since many products use whole herb powder.
Kapiva: best for Ayurvedic juices
Kapiva sells Ayurvedic juices, herbal blends and shilajit. It’s a good fit if you like taking your herbs as a drink.
Best for: people who prefer juices over capsules.
Keep in mind: many products are blends. Check how much of each herb you get per serving.
Nuvedo: best for mushroom liquid extracts
Nuvedo is a Bangalore mushroom brand that also sells grow kits. Its wellness range is mainly liquid mushroom extracts.
Best for: people who like taking mushrooms as drops in water or coffee.
Keep in mind: if you prefer capsules, powders or gummies, the choice is smaller.
Wellbeing Nutrition: best for plant-based vitamins
Wellbeing Nutrition makes plant-based multivitamins, greens and protein, often as fizzy tablets you drop in water.
Best for: daily vitamins in an easy format.
Keep in mind: the focus is general nutrition. It isn’t a mushroom or Ayurvedic herb specialist.
OZiva: best for plant-based protein
OZiva is known for plant-based protein and products for women’s health, hair and skin.
Best for: plant protein and beauty-from-within products.
Keep in mind: the range has little for focus or stamina from mushrooms or herbs like shilajit.

Are organic supplements better than regular ones?
Organic supplements are made from plants grown without synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilisers. Their main benefit is cleaner sourcing with fewer chemical residues.
A 2012 review in the Annals of Internal Medicine found that organic produce had lower pesticide residue than regular produce. Nutrient levels were mostly similar. So organic tells you how a plant was grown. The extract quality and the dose decide how well the supplement works.
We explain this in detail in our guide on organic vs synthetic supplements.
Why we started Rooted Actives
We started Rooted Actives because buying mushroom and Ayurvedic supplements in India felt like guesswork. Labels didn’t say which part of the mushroom was used. Lab reports were hard to find.
So we built a range where you can check every claim yourself. If you want one place for mushroom and Ayurvedic products with lab reports, browse our organic health supplements range.
FAQs
Which is the best organic supplement brand in India?
The best brand depends on what you need. For functional mushrooms and Ayurvedic herbs with public lab reports, Rooted Actives is a strong choice. For organic herbal teas, Organic India is well known.
How can I tell if a supplement is really organic?
Look for the India Organic or Jaivik Bharat logo with a certificate number on the pack. Then ask the brand for its certificate. Our guide on how to check if a supplement is really organic walks you through each step.
Is organic the same as natural?
No. Natural means the ingredient comes from a plant, animal or mineral source. Organic is a farming standard that needs a certificate under NPOP or PGS-India.
Are organic supplements safe to take every day?
Most lab-tested organic supplements are safe for healthy adults at the dose on the label. Speak to your doctor first if you’re pregnant, nursing or taking medicine.
