Mushroom Coffee
Mushroom coffee is regular coffee blended with functional mushroom extracts. Ours is 100% Arabica coffee with Lion's Mane for focus and Chaga for antioxidant support. It tastes like coffee, not mushrooms, and takes 30 seconds to make. Keep your coffee ritual, and let your cup do a little more.
What is mushroom coffee?
Mushroom coffee is coffee that has been mixed with powdered extracts of functional mushrooms such as Lion's Mane, Chaga, Cordyceps or Reishi. The idea is simple. Most people already drink coffee every day, so adding mushrooms to it builds a healthy habit without adding a new step.
Our blend uses Arabica coffee with extracts of Lion's Mane and Chaga. Lion's Mane is studied for focus and memory, and Chaga is rich in antioxidants.
It is an instant coffee, so you only need hot water or milk. There is no brewing, filter or machine involved.
What are the benefits of mushroom coffee?
People make the switch for three main reasons:
- Focus. Lion's Mane is the mushroom most studied for focus, memory and mental clarity.
- Smoother energy. Many people say the energy feels steadier, without the jitters they get from strong coffee.
- Antioxidants. Both coffee and Chaga are naturally rich in antioxidants.
It also keeps the comfort of your coffee routine, which is often the hardest habit to change. Our post on the health benefits of mushroom coffee explains more.
Does mushroom coffee have caffeine?
Yes. Our blend contains caffeine from the Arabica coffee in the blend. The mushrooms themselves contain no caffeine and do not add any extra.
If you are sensitive to caffeine, start with half a teaspoon and avoid drinking it late in the afternoon or evening. Treat it like regular coffee when you count your daily caffeine.
How does mushroom coffee compare with regular coffee?
- Base. Mushroom coffee: 100% Arabica. Regular instant coffee: Often Robusta or a blend.
- Added ingredients. Mushroom coffee: Lion's Mane and Chaga extracts. Regular instant coffee: Usually none.
- Taste. Mushroom coffee: Like coffee, smooth. Regular instant coffee: Like coffee.
- Caffeine. Mushroom coffee: Yes, from the coffee. Regular instant coffee: Yes.
- Focus support. Mushroom coffee: From Lion's Mane. Regular instant coffee: From caffeine only.
- How to make. Mushroom coffee: 1 tsp in hot water or milk. Regular instant coffee: Same.
Many of our customers say it sits better with them than their usual cup, but everyone's stomach is different. Start with one cup a day and see how you feel.

When is the best time to drink it?
Morning is best for most people, because that is when they want focus. Avoid it within six hours of bedtime if caffeine affects your sleep.
How long until you notice the Lion's Mane effect?
You will feel the coffee straight away. The Lion's Mane benefits build up with daily use, so give it 8 to 12 weeks for the full picture.
How do you choose the best mushroom coffee in India?
This category is new in India, so quality varies. Check these points:
- Which mushrooms are in the blend, with Latin names.
- How much mushroom is in each serving, not just the word "with".
- Fruiting body extract, not mycelium grown on grain.
- Coffee quality. Arabica usually tastes smoother.
- Testing. Ours are on the certificates page.
Our buyer's guide to the best mushroom coffee in India goes deeper into each point.
Why Lion's Mane and Chaga?
We chose these two mushrooms because they suit a morning cup. Lion's Mane is the mushroom most linked with focus and mental clarity, which is what most people want from their first coffee of the day. Chaga has a naturally earthy, slightly vanilla taste that blends into coffee instead of fighting it, and it adds antioxidants.
Bitter mushrooms like Reishi are better in the evening, and Cordyceps suits pre-workout drinks. Keeping the coffee to Lion's Mane and Chaga means it tastes good and fits the time of day you actually drink it.
How do you switch from regular coffee?
Simply replace one of your usual cups with this blend. You do not need to stop your regular coffee overnight. Many people start with their first morning cup and keep the rest of their day the same. After two or three weeks, they decide whether to swap more cups. If you take your coffee with milk and sugar, keep them exactly as they are so the switch feels natural.
Who should drink mushroom coffee?
It suits anyone who already drinks coffee and wants it to do more. It is popular with:
- Professionals who start the day with coffee and need focus for long meetings.
- Students who drink coffee while studying.
- People who feel jittery on strong coffee and want something smoother.
- Anyone curious about functional mushrooms but not ready for capsules.
Is mushroom coffee safe?
It is safe for most adults. Treat it like regular coffee for your daily caffeine limit.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a heart condition, high blood pressure, anxiety or trouble sleeping, check with your doctor first, mainly because of the caffeine. People with a mushroom allergy should avoid it. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
