Frequently Asked Questions
Not meaningfully. A capsule shell dissolves within minutes. Powders mainly offer dose control and mixing flexibility.
Put liquid in the shaker first, then the powder. Shake, wait ten seconds, shake again.
Yes. Mushroom and greens powders combine well. Beetroot is usually kept separate because of its flavour.
Warm, not boiling, for mushroom powders. Cool or room temperature for greens and beetroot.
Sealed, cool and dry, with a dry scoop. Do not refrigerate, since condensation causes clumping.
Powders Supplement - Mushroom, Greens & Beetroot
Powder is the format for people who want control. You choose the dose, you choose what it goes in, and you can stack several things in a single cup rather than swallowing nine capsules. A supplement powder is the format for people who want control over the dose and what it goes into.
It asks for a little more from you than a capsule does, and in return it is more flexible than any other format we sell.
When Powder Is the Right Choice
You want to control the dose. This matters more than people realise. With fermentable fibre from Turkey Tail or a greens blend, starting at half a serving and building over two weeks is the difference between a smooth start and a fortnight of bloating. A capsule cannot be halved sensibly.
You already make a morning drink. If coffee, a smoothie or warm milk is already part of your day, a scoop costs you nothing extra.
You want to stack. Three powders in one cup is far simpler than managing three bottles of capsules.
You want a higher dose than a standard capsule serving provides.
You dislike swallowing capsules. A common and entirely reasonable preference.
The Powder Range
Mushroom extracts: Lion's Mane, Cordyceps, Reishi, Chaga, Turkey Tail, Shiitake, the 7-mushroom complex and AHCC.
Superfoods and greens: Power Greens with 30+ organic greens, probiotics and enzymes.
Beetroot: Power Beets mix berry and the watermelon mint drink mix.
Herbal: Maca root powder, gelatinised for easier digestion.
New to powders? The mushroom drinks sample pack lets you try several before committing to a full tub.
How to Mix Without Clumps
Almost every complaint about supplement powders is really a complaint about technique.
Liquid in the shaker first, powder second. This single change solves most clumping. Powder into an empty shaker forms a paste at the bottom that never fully breaks up.
Match the temperature to the powder. Warm but not boiling for mushroom extracts, since you are rehydrating an extract rather than brewing raw mushroom. Cool or room temperature for greens and beetroot, where hot water only worsens the taste.
Shake, pause ten seconds, shake again. The pause lets the powder hydrate.
Add body if the taste is hard. Half a banana, a spoon of curd, or apple juice instead of plain water.
Rinse immediately. Dried greens and beetroot are considerably harder to clean an hour later, and beetroot stains.
Taste, Honestly
Different powders behave very differently, and knowing this in advance saves a wasted purchase.
Neutral and easy: Lion's Mane, Cordyceps. Both disappear into coffee or a smoothie.
Mild and pleasant: Chaga, which is earthy with an almost vanilla character and works plain in hot water. Maca, which is malty and works well in oats or a smoothie.
Strong: Reishi is genuinely bitter. Most people prefer it in warm milk with cinnamon, or simply buy the capsules instead.
Savoury: Shiitake belongs in soup, dal or broth rather than a sweet drink.
Earthy-sweet: beetroot, which most people find fine, especially in the watermelon mint version.
Storage, Which Matters More Here
Powders are far more sensitive to Indian conditions than capsules, so this is worth getting right.
Keep the scoop dry. A wet scoop returned to the tub is the single most common cause of a clumped, spoiled powder.
Close the lid properly every time. Humidity is the main enemy.
Do not refrigerate. Moving a tub in and out of cold storage causes condensation inside, which does more damage than a stable warm shelf.
Keep out of direct sunlight, and away from the stove.
If you live somewhere very humid and your powders keep clumping, that is a genuine reason to switch to capsules. A clumped tub you avoid using is worse than a capsule you take.
Powder or Capsule
Neither is more effective. The extract inside is identical, and the absorption difference is not meaningful for these ingredients.
Choose powder for dose control, stacking and drink-based routines. Choose capsules for travel, convenience and strong-tasting ingredients. Choose tinctures for speed, or gummies if swallowing capsules is difficult.
Many people use both: capsules for the strong-tasting extracts, powder for the ones that disappear into a morning drink.
Why Rooted Actives Powders
• Extracts, not ground raw material
• Hot-water and dual extraction so the actives are available
• Third-party tested every batch, with certificates you can read
• Vegan, no fillers, no artificial sweeteners, no GMOs
Building a Stack in One Cup
The main advantage of powder is that several things can share a single drink. Some combinations that work well:
Morning focus and energy: Lion's Mane powder with Cordyceps powder in coffee. Both are neutral in flavour and disappear completely.
Daily nutrition: Power Greens with Maca powder in a smoothie. Maca's malty character actually improves the taste of the greens.
Pre-workout: Power Beets watermelon mint on its own, 60 to 90 minutes before. Beetroot is strong enough that it is better kept separate.
Evening: Reishi powder in warm milk with cinnamon, which is the standard way people get past its bitterness.
Gut focus: Turkey Tail powder with a greens blend, started at half a serving and built up over two weeks.
Do not stack more than three powders in one drink. Past that, the taste becomes unpredictable and you lose any ability to tell which one is doing what.
Getting the Dose Right With a Supplement Powder
Powder's biggest advantage is also where people most often go wrong. Because you control the scoop, it is tempting to assume more is better.
It is not. Mushroom and herbal extracts do not work on a dose-response curve the way caffeine does. Doubling a serving of Lion's Mane does not double anything; it mostly wastes product. What actually changes results is the number of consecutive days you take it.
Use the scoop provided and level it rather than heaping it. If you are starting a fibre-heavy powder such as Turkey Tail or a greens blend, start at half and build up across two weeks. If you are stacking two or three powders, keep each at its own recommended serving rather than reducing all of them arbitrarily.
Storage matters far more here than with capsules. A supplement powder is hygroscopic, and a wet scoop returned to the tub is the single most common reason a good product ends up clumped and abandoned.

If humidity keeps ruining your supplement powder, that is a legitimate reason to switch to capsules rather than a reason to stop taking it altogether.
